Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Friday directed the officers to focus on resolving public grievances rather than merely completing formalities at Samadhan Shivirs. Chairing a review meeting of the Samadhan Cell, he said that officers should make concerted efforts to address the problems brought to the Samadhan Shivirs and ensure that grievances are resolved promptly. Resolving issues on the spot, wherever possible, would provide immediate relief to the public, he said. Saini said that the Samadhan Cell provides a framework for the grievance redressal process, a dual-verification system and state-level action. Under this system, complaints are reopened and reviewed in detail, and the concerned complainants are contacted by phone to obtain information about them. Therefore, 5,591 complaints have been reopened at the state level. During the past year, 92,848 complaints were received at Samadhan Shivirs, of which 55,365 complaints were resolved.
